From August 16 to 20, young athletes from around 10 nations will compete in the Ore mountains ("Erzgebirge") as part of the junior world championships in grass skiing. It has been ten years already since such a championship has taken place in Germany. In 2022, the junior world championship in grass skiing will be held in the Ore Mountains for the first time.
The International Ski Federation (FIS) and the German Ski Federation (DSV) have entrusted the competitions to the city of Neudorf in proven hands. For several years, the regional organizers have gained experience in the coordination of grass ski competitions. These organizers consist of the following clubs: "Ehrenfriedersdorfer Skiverein", "SV LOK Nossen", "SV Sehmatal" and the association in the "Grasskiteam Erzgebirge".
